WODWICHEE has been running Senior Citizens' Home in Cachar since 2005. The Home is situated at Uttar Bariknagar of Cachar district in a scenic location. Sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, the Home is equipped with all-inclusive care facilities for 25 persons. The Home provides shelter, food, nutrition, medical aids, recreation and counselling while encouraging active ageing through training and production activities suitable to the elderly.
Some of the beneficiaries are also restored to their families after checking out the care and protection elements available in the family. In such cases, a thorough counselling process is adopted with the family members who are responsible for the care and custody of the senior citizens being restored.
