To establish a supportive institution for woman victims of difficult circumstances so that they could lead their life with dignity and confidence. The women and dependent children are admitted under the following criteria
1. Women who are deserted and are without any family support;
2. Women victims of domestic violence, family tension or discord, are made to leave their homes without any means of subsistence and have no special protection from exploitation and/ or facing litigation on account of marital disputes; and
3. Trafficked women/girls rescued or runaway from brothels or other places where they fac exploitation. Since inception the Swadhar & Help Line has been catering to the primary need of shelter, food, clothing, medical treatment and counselling to the beneficiaries. The centre also provides legal aid and guidance to enable the beneficiaries to take steps for their readjustment in family and society. Further a holistic approach and steps are being undertaken for training and capacity building to make them self reliant for economic and social rehabilitation. The Centre works as a support system that understands and meets various requirements of women in distress.
